Blended learning is a teaching methodology in which technology and traditional teacher-student face-to-face meeting in physical classroom are interwoven (blended).

Blended methodologies hold particular promise for vulnerable populations because the are able to make up for scarce resources  with digital alternatives.

We created a three level blended pedagogy that integrates the innovations that have revolutionised the classroom in the last decade.

These schemes make learning effective, fast, fun and functional with a combination of interactive video sessions, small group discussions and collaborative homework classes.

The VIUC is basis for a unique learning scheme that leverages on technology to, economically, propagate productivity education and highly personalised curricula wherever the sun shines. It mitigates virtually every obstacle to education & economic empowerment in communities where men, materials and money are scarce and infrastructure is inadequate.

A learner-led, interactive-video-based & computer-mediated instruction is the pleasant first step in a regular lesson under this scheme. It's inviting to learners, incisive and exciting. It puts power in the hands of learner-operators. It's a tutor that can be interrupted without limit, and a reliable substitute that saves teachers time and energy.

The next step is a learner-mediated instruction, which are really research and update sessions conducted within semi-permanent small groups called self organised learning teams (SOLT).

The third step is a teacher-mediated instruction, which is a flipped classroom homework session held in a classroom. It is a platform for 4 modes of interaction vis-a-vis:

 > one-on-one, teacher-student

 > horizontal student-student

 > vertical students-teacher

 > tutorial expert-students

VIUC has multimedia lesson objects, for entire 12 years of Basic and Secondary Education, in 14 subjects, which include Basic Science, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English Language/Literature, Economics, Computer Studies, Home Management, Geography, Commerce, Government & Physical Education.

It contains several encyclopaedia, a growing library of e-books, journals and vocational training materials for research as well as talent/career development.

Interactive videos, animated graphics, and virtual laboratory simulations help learners to explore & concretise abstract and complex concepts, specially in science and mathematics.

Teachers adapt the system to improve personal efficiency/effectiveness and to save time to spend on improving curriculum, guiding and mentoring.
